Waimarino’s Holiday Programme runs 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the school holidays (excluding public holidays), combining onsite activities at Waimarino Adventure Park with offsite adventures across the wider Bay of Plenty region.
What kind of activities are included?
The programme changes every school holidays, so no two terms look quite the same. Past activities have included Mini-Olympics, baking challenges, mountain biking, cinema trips, local hot pools, beach days, laser tag, go-karts, abseiling, and dedicated kayaking days, alongside everything available at the Adventure Park itself.
Is food included?
A meal option is available for an additional daily fee, covering a nutritious morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. It can be booked as a once a week treat or for every day of the programme, with 24 hours notice required to confirm a meal booking.
How does drop-off and pickup work?
Families can drop off and collect directly at Waimarino Education Trust- 36 Taniwha Place, Bethlehem, or use one of two bus services, one departing from Otumoetai (by Countdown, corner of Vale St and Bureta Road) and one from Tauranga Central (Arundel Street, by the Tauranga Primary School pool). Exact times of these bus services are listed on each Holiday Programme Schedule.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking ahead is strongly recommended, particularly for popular weeks like the first week of the summer holidays, spots can fill quickly.
